Obstetrcis and Gynecology
Adil Hakan İlhan, M.D., was born in 1972. After completing his middle and high school educations at Robert College in 1990, he graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine and received his M.D. in 1997. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Marmara University School of Medicine in 2003. He was a clinical observer at Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at King's College, London in 2002, 2003-2004 and 2010 under the supervision of Kypros Nicolaides. In 2008 he has been with Prof. Dr. Togas Tulandi at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of McGill University, Montreal as a clinical observer. In 2001 he spent time as an observer at the IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) Unit of VKV American Hospital, Istanbul at which hospital he later worked for more than 8 years as a member of the night shift obstetrics and gynecology staff. He worked at private hospitals in Istanbul as an obstetrics and gynecology specialist between 2003-2010. In 2010 when he was working at the Obstetrics, Gynecology and IVF Unit of Çamlıca Medicana Hospital, he took and successfully passed a three step central exam organized by the Ministry of Health and was appointed to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Şişli Etfal Research and Training Hospital as a member of the educational board which he continued till May 2019. As a member of the educational board he was involved in the training of obstetrics and gynecology residents, supervised specialization thesis of residents and been a member of the examination boards for specialization and thesis exams of obstetrics and gynecology residents. He has national and international published articles, poster presentations at national and international scientific congresses and he has translated books and chapters of books to Turkish. He is working at Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Koç University Hospital since May 2019.
