Professor of Infectious Diseases
Prof. Dr. Birsen Çetin graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1988. In 1994, she completed her Infection Diseases and Clinical Microbiology residency. She served as a clinical chief assistant at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. In 2001, she started to work as the head of the department at VKV American Hospital. She became an assoc. prof. in 2006. She conducted JCI work as the head of VKV American Hospital and VKV Italian Hospital Infection Control Committees. She left her post at Sisli Etfal Training and Research Hospital in 2011. In 2012, she started to work as a lecturer at Koç University School of Medicine Infection Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Department and became a professor in 2013. Since 2012, she has been working at the VKV Health Institutions, Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Department.
