Orhan Ağcaoğlu M.D.
Orhan Agcaoglu M. D. was born in 1984, Istanbul. He graduated from Kadikoy Anatolian High School in 2002 and Yeditepe University School of Medicine in 2008. He finished his General Surgery Residency at Istanbul University Istanbul School of Medicine in 2014. In 2011, he worked at Cleveland Clinic, Department of General Surgery, Division of Endocrine Surgery and Robotics as a Research Fellow for one year. Between 2014 – 2016, he finished his mandatory government work at Igdir Public Hospital. In 2016, he has been to University of Helsinki, Department of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and Ege University, Department of General Surgery, Division of Endocrine Surgery as an observer. Also in 2018, he has been to Yonsei University Gangnam Severance Hospital Thyroid Center, Korean University Anam Hospital, and Seul National University Hospital for training in the field of robotic and endoscopic thyroidectomy. Dr. Agcaoglu has more than 50 papers that published in International peer-reviewed journals. Having passed the exam and completed the requirements of the European Board of Endocrine Surgery (Neck Endocrine), he has been acknowledged as a “Fellow” of the European Board in 2017, moreover since May 2018, he has been working as a member of board qualification member. Dr. Orhan Agcaoglu is a Faculty of Koç University, School of Medicine and working at Koç University Hospital since April 2016. His surgical interests include; endocrine surgery (minimally invasive and robotic techniques for thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal diseases), breast surgery (oncoplastic and breast conserving techniques for malignant and benign breast diseases), and Laparoscopic and robotic groin hernia surgery.
